How Rubber Extrusion Works

Rubber extrusion relies on custom dies to manufacture the product rather than the horizontal presses that are employed in our rubber molding services.

The machines simply push the materials through the precisely cut dies, which allows us to create a huge variety of custom products. Once that process is finished, the rubber may need to be vulcanized, depending on the material that was extruded.

Different rubber compounds may react differently, and some may swell after the extrusion process, and at Clark Rubber & Plastic, our specialists understand how to use each material to get the best results.
